Creating and Managing Photo Labels

Learn how to create, edit, and delete Photo Labels in ServiceBridge Web so technicians can tag job photos by what they show in the mobile app

Photo Labels let your technicians tag each photo by what it shows. In the ServiceBridge Mobile app, when a technician taps Label on a photo, they choose from the labels you set up in ServiceBridge Web. Using the same labels every time keeps job photos organized and easier to review.

ServiceBridge comes with four ready-to-use labels: Interior, Exterior, Repair, and Damage. You can keep them as they are, or add, edit, and delete labels in Settings > Media > Job Photos Labels.

📝 Note: Each label name must be unique, and capitalization doesn’t count. For example, you can’t have both “Damage” and “damage.” A label may have up to 50 characters.

Permissions: You need access to Company Settings, along with the right level of Media access:

Accessing Job Photo Labels

  1. Open the Settings menu and select Media.

  2. On the Media Settings page, open the Job Photos Labels section. Your current labels are listed by Name, each with Edit and Delete actions.

Creating a New Label

  1. In Job Photos Labels, click + Add new.

  2. In the Add Photo Label window, enter a Name for the label (for example, Equipment or Serial Number). The Preview shows how the label will look.

  3. Click Save. If the name is already in use, choose a different one and try again.

The new label appears in the list and is available to technicians the next time they tap Label on a photo in the mobile app.

📝 Note: The mobile app must be online and refreshed to load new labels.

Editing a Label

  1. In the Job Photos Labels list, click Edit next to the label you want to change.

  2. Update the Name and click Save. The name must be unique, and capitalization doesn’t matter.

📝 Note: When you rename a label, every photo that already has that label updates automatically.

Deleting a Label

⚠️ Before you delete a label: Deleting a label removes it from every photo that has it. In ServiceBridge Web, the label is removed right away. In the mobile app, it’s removed the next time the app syncs.

  1. In the Job Photos Labels list, click Delete next to the label you want to remove.

  2. In the Delete Photo Label confirmation, check the label name, then click Delete. To keep the label, click Cancel.

📝 Note: You can rename or delete any label, including the four default labels. Deleted labels can’t be restored, but you can add a new label with the same name. Photos that had the deleted label won’t get it back automatically, so you’ll need to reapply it in the mobile app or in ServiceBridge Web.

How Labels Appear in the Mobile App

Technicians add labels by tapping Label on a photo and choosing from your list. They see exactly the labels you manage here, and they can add as many labels to a photo as they need.

📝 Note: Photo To-Dos require iOS version 7.10.0 or Android version 4.30 to show up on Estimates and Work Orders. If you don’t see these features, update the app through the App Store or Google Play.
