This article will show you how to setup and integrate Klipfolio into your ServiceBridge account. To do this successfully, you'll need a Klipfolio account and a ServiceBridge account with Public API enabled. You'll also need knowledge how to use the Public API.

At a high level this is the process:

  1. In ServiceBridge, create custom reports for data you want to use in Klipfolio

  2. In Klipfolio, pull in data from ServiceBridge using the Public API

  3. In Klipfolio, build your Dashboard and Klips

  4. In ServiceBridge, enable the integration in company settings, select your dashboard, and enter your klip profile ids

Create Custom Reports in ServiceBridge

In ServiceBridge, create custom reports for data you want to use in Klipfolio. It should look something like this:

Pull ServiceBridge data into Klipfolio

In Klipfolio, pull in data from ServiceBridge using the Public API.   Read this Klipfolio help article to learn how to pull in data using APIs. You'll want to use the Report method to pull in the reports that you've created.

Build Dashboards with Klips in Klipfolio

In Klipfolio, build your Dashboard and Klips  Read these support articles on how to do this in the Klipfolio

Setup Klipfolio integration in ServiceBridge

In ServiceBridge, enable the integration in company settings. Go to company settings > preferences > home preferences and toggle Klipfolio on.

Enter your Klipfolio key.  Learn how to get a key in this Klipfolio support article.

Select the dashboard you'd like to use and then enter the Profile IDs for each Klip in the Dashboard. To do this you'll need to create the embed code which contains the Profile IDs.

Go to Klipfolio > Dashboards > Select your Dashboard > in each Klip click 3 dots > Share > Embed Klip

Click next to create the Embed code

Save this Profile ID so that you can enter it into the ServiceBridge settings

IMPORTANT! The Profile ID is different from the Klip ID. Don't use the Klip ID. You need the Profile ID because it contains the generated graph that's specific to that klip which the Klip ID doesn't include.  In the future, we hope to eliminate a lot of these steps when Klipfolio improves their API.

Repeat the steps above for each Klip on the dashboard and you're done!  The Klips should now appear on your Home screen.  They should refresh with new data every time you open the home screen.
