Click a team card to select it — the card border will highlight to confirm selection.
Repeat for any additional teams you want to include in this run.
3. Choose Company or Team Working Hours
Each team card defaults to Company Working Hours. To keep a team on the company default, leave it as-is. To set custom hours, click the Working Hours dropdown on the selected team card and choose Team Working Hours. The inline editor will expand inside the card.

4. Configure the Team's Hours
In the inline editor, you'll see a row for each day of the week. For each day:
Toggle the day ON (working) or OFF (non-working)
Set the From and To times using the time picker
For overnight shifts, set the From time later than the To time (e.g., From: 8:00 PM / To: 6:00 AM) — the system will recognize this as spanning midnight and display it as 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (next day)
In the inline editor, review the row for each day of the week (Monday–Sunday).
Toggle each day ON or OFF using the day toggle.
For each ON day, set the From and To times using the time picker.

Click Apply — the editor collapses, and the team card updates with an availability summary.
Clicking Cancel discards all changes and restores the previous working hours.
5. Edit or Revert Hours, if Needed
Before running the scheduler, you can make changes at any time:
To edit, click the pencil icon on the team card to reopen the inline editor

Click Return to Editing.
For each team listed, open the inline editor and click Apply — or deselect the team card if you don't want custom hours applied.

After the Run
Assigned jobs will appear on the schedule in the Dispatch panel. Any jobs that couldn't be placed within the available working hours will remain unassigned, and a banner will appear with suggested next steps:
Expand the scheduling date range to create more availability.
Review and adjust working hours for one or more teams.
Re-run the Smart Scheduler with the updated settings.
A Few Helpful Reminders
Working hours once applied are saved automatically for future runs
Each team's hours are configured independently; changing one team's hours doesn't affect others
Teams without custom hours applied will automatically fall back to Company Working Hours
For overnight shifts, always confirm your company's time zone is correctly set in account settings to avoid unexpected scheduling behavior across midnight
