Now merchants can pass on credit card fees to customers.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

What’s New in this Release?

ServiceBridge has introduced a new feature that allows merchants to pass credit card service fees (up to 3%) on to end customers. This addresses a long-standing pain point, enhancing profitability for ServiceBridge clients by eliminating the burden of absorbing credit card transaction fees.

Contact support@servicebridge.com to find out more and sign up for this feature.

Feature Overview

  • When you take a credit card payment from a customer, the ServiceBridge application automatically adds a surcharge of 1-3% to the total due.

    • Example: For a $1000 bill, the end customer pays $1030 instead of $1000.

  • When a surcharge is being applied, this is displayed in all payment interfaces (mobile apps and the "Pay Now" portal), informing your customer about the surcharge before the final payment.

  • ServiceBridge users taking payments over the phone are prompted to inform end customers about the surcharge.

  • The surcharge applies only to credit card transactions and only in states where surcharging is legally permitted.
