How does the customer apply for financing?

Customers select Apply for Financing on an estimate or invoice and are redirected to a secure, GreenSky®-hosted application in a new browser tab.

How long does financing approval take?

In most cases, financing decisions are returned within minutes, though timing may vary.

Can a customer apply for financing more than once on the same estimate or invoice?

No. Only one financing application is allowed per estimate or invoice. If an application is already in progress, the option to apply again is disabled.

What happens while a financing application is pending?

While an application is under review, customers see a message indicating the status. Traditional payment methods, such as credit card or ACH, remain available during this time.

What happens if financing is approved?

After approval, customers can select the Pay with GreenSky® option to complete their purchase.

If the approved amount does not cover the full balance, they must first pay the remaining balance with a credit card, then use the GreenSky® payment option to pay the approved portion.

What happens if financing is declined?

If financing is declined, GreenSky® is no longer available for that estimate or invoice. Customers can still complete payment using standard payment methods such as credit card or ACH.

Can deposits be paid using GreenSky® financing?

Yes. After financing is approved, customers can use GreenSky® to pay deposits or full invoice balances.

What happens if a GreenSky® payment fails?

If a GreenSky® payment cannot be processed, it is treated as unsuccessful and does not reduce the balance owed. Customers can still complete payment using other available payment methods.

Do customers need to already have a GreenSky® account?

No. Customers can apply for GreenSky® financing as part of the application process, even if they do not already have an account.

Is GreenSky® the only financing provider supported?

Yes. At this time, GreenSky® is the only consumer financing provider supported.

Why does my invoice show as Paid before I approve the payment?

When you click Pay with the GreenSky® Program, the system sends the payment request and temporarily marks the invoice as Paid. You’ll receive an email from GreenSky® asking you to authorize the payment. If you reject the request, the payment is canceled, and the invoice goes back to Unpaid.

What happens if I don’t respond to the payment approval request?

If you don’t respond to the GreenSky® authorization email, the payment request will remain pending. After 30 days, the request is flagged as Unresolved, and it will appear in Payment Alerts for review. During this time, the invoice may still appear as Paid until the payment request is reviewed and resolved.

How does a refund on my GreenSky® loan work?

Your service provider processes GreenSky® loan refunds through the GreenSky® Merchant Self-Service Portal.

Why do I need to pay part of the balance first if my financing amount is less than the invoice total?

GreenSky® only allows a charge up to the approved loan amount. If the invoice total is higher than that amount, you are asked to pay the remaining balance first using another payment method, such as card or ACH, before applying the financing.
